Two thirds of the product consists of Nature Safe Fertilizer. Nature Safe will begin to release in up to 7 to 10 days and will slowly release nitrogen for up to 8 to 12 weeks. One third of Nature Safe 18-0-4 consists of MESA® 34-0-0, a patented controlled release nitrogen product containing methylene urea that is comprised of varying lengths of methylene urea and ammonium sulfate. Through this combination, the methylene urea continuously releases nitrogen for up to 16 weeks after application.
