National Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2024

Taking care of
people is one of Harrell’s core values and founding principles.
You could argue that no one does that better than the professional truck
drivers for Harrell’s. They take care of our customers first and foremost but
also take care of our sales reps, operations teams, and each employee-owner.
Even in the core industries that Harrell’s supports, there are opportunities
where we need to react right away, and our Harrell’s fleet is always ready to
deliver.
As we continue to Grow a Better World and fleet of drivers, we know our
financial strength and success is dependent heavily on our family of truck
drivers who are climbing in and out of their trucks from pre-dawn until after
dark each working day. There are countless reasons to thank professional truck
drivers, and on September 15th - September 21st, we will celebrate the 36th
annual National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
This
year’s theme—From Coast to Coast: Celebrating Truck Drivers—is a nod to the
hundreds of billions of miles that professional truck drivers traverse
crisscrossing our nation to get things where they need to be on time, safely,
and securely every day.
The magnitude of our gratitude should match truck drivers’ commitment to their
jobs. This year’s theme is very fitting for Harrell’s. With our warehouses as
far northwest Oregon and southeast as Homestead, in one of the most heavily
regulated industries, Harrell’s hauling professionals logged millions of miles
so far this year going Coast to Coast. Collectively, the over 3 million men and
women in the trucking industry log over 300 billion miles every year. That
equates to 13 million trips around the globe or more than 1,800 round trips to
the sun.
They deliver nearly 11.5 billion tons of freight each year which accounts for
almost 70% of all freight moved in the United States. Practically every object that
we touch was transported on the back of a truck at some point, and virtually
every aspect of our lives is impacted by the work of the professionals who make
these deliveries. Without the trucking industry, the country would come to a
screeching halt.
Harrell’s is very proud of these 83 drivers, THE BEST PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS IN THE INDUSTRY.
Please join us in celebrating them this week. Track down one of them and thank
them for all they do to make us successful. Read over each of these names and
pray for their safety. For the ones you do know, let them know how grateful and
thankful you are for them.
Harrell’s is extremely honored to recognize and thank the drivers listed below
for their continued commitment to safety, to customer service, and to growing
& delivering a better world. #ThankATrucker #NTDAW24
