I've been in Durham NC with Scott Strickland and his crew for the AAA All-Star Game.  It's been a lot of fun to be a groundskeeper for a few days and here are some observations about my experience.

1) The people who design All-Star Game logos have definitely never painted one!

2) The Bulls Grounds Crew had the best tarp pull I've ever been a part of yesterday.  Removed BP and covered in about 90 seconds

3) The dugout here isn't conducive to sitting out all rain delays.  It rained sideways for about 2 hours last night, and anyone in the dugout would have been soaked.

4) Lenny Dykstra's Kid is huge and left handed and only had to hit one home run in the final round of The Home Run Derby to win this the derby and take home the championship belt.

It's been a really good time and hopefully the weather will cooperate for tonight's game!

1) a former coworker pointed out that it was actuallly Grimm who was the freshman being told to stay on the mound not the other way around, but why let facts get in the way of a good story

2) I know he plays for the Cubs, but he's still a big leaguer!
