Flipping the calendar to 2022 offers a new year and a new start! In the past 365 days, 2021 offered many challenges and some great successes. Whether it's learning to adapt on the fly or in a moment’s notice to crazy things coming out of nowhere, or simply becoming more efficient in our processes due to the shortage of labor and supply chain issues. No matter which way you slice it, 2021 was a challenging year!

Importantly, before we go too far forward into 2022, I want to say thank you to each of the Harrell’s customers who choose to do business with us. As customers, you have given Harrell’s and all of our employee-owners the opportunity to provide you with exceptional service, value, and industry leading support as we work alongside you as your Partner for Success. We look forward to earning your business again in 2022 and regardless of what this next year may hold, we are ready to accept the challenge.

Philip Hindman's Retirement

At the end of 2021, the Harrell’s Coastal Plains team said good-bye to a 24-year sales veteran in Philip Hindman. Philip’s decision to retire was forthcoming, however, Philip’s commitment, dedication and willingness to help others succeed will be missed. Philip will now start 2022 entering a new chapter of his life, getting to do the personal things he loves most. Traveling, spending more time with his grandchildren, and going on mission trips.

With Philip’s departure, Tony Culberson will be accepting responsibilities for this territory. Tony will focus on golf sales covering central and northern Alabama. Tony recently came to Harrell’s (June 2021) from Bayer Environmental Sciences. He brings a wealth of turf and LCO knowledge to the team and having over 10 years of turfgrass industry experience, he is an invaluable resource for all of his fellow sales team and customers.
