In today's episode, Dr. Raymond Snyder and Dr. Jeff Atkinson of Harrell's are joined by Dr. Shawn Askew, Turfgrass Weed Scientist from Virginia Tech. They are discussing weed management practices for winter and spring proxy programs.

More About Dr. Askew

Dr. Shawn Askew obtained his Ph.D. degree in weed science at North Carolina State University in 2001 and became the extension turfgrass weed scientist for Virginia that same year.  He is an associate professor of turfgrass weed science at Virginia Tech’s Department of Plant Pathology, Physiology, and Weed Science.  Dr. Askew's primary responsibility is to provide statewide leadership in the development of weed control programs for turfgrass.  He conducts research, teaches classes, and mentors graduate students at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
