As the season winds down and the last-minute projects finally get buttoned up, our attention shifts to getting continuing education points (CEUs) and keeping our certifications current. Over the last two years virtual seminar have been the go-to place for obtaining these points. Don't get me wrong, virtual is really nice and awfully convenient, but in the end, there’s nothing better than being in-person and interacting with others. That being said, I’m proud to tell you the in-person events are back in full swing at Harrell’s, and it’s great to be back!

The Seminar Benefits

In most states, continuing education is required to maintain a pesticide license and keep you in compliance with state laws. For the Turfgrass Manager, these seminars are an opportunity to stay up to date with the latest advancements in research and technology. Our five employee-owner Ph.D.’s work in cooperation with Ph.D.'s from all across the country, developing programs and protocol to help you succeed day-in and day-out. A lot of what you’re seeing in our seminars comes from their research.

A Break From the Norm

It's so easy to get caught up in the daily grind you could lose motivation or excitement for your job. An in-person seminar provides a chance to get away and dedicate yourself to the subject matter. By actively interacting with instructors or others you can leave a seminar with a wide range of knowledge that you didn't have beforehand.

By networking with some of the best and brightest people in your field, you’ll leave with a renewed confidence and maybe a few friends. As a result from taking some time away from the daily grind, your confidence will be refreshed, knowledge and interest rekindled, and you might even check a few CEU boxes.

There are Always More Opportunities!

Trust me, we understand how crazy all of our schedules can get, so you might not be able to make every seminar. Luckily for you, we have free online continuing education credits exclusively available for Harrell’s customers who have created a myHarrells account! These educational opportunities are typically an hour in length and the points are you receive are determined by your state regulatory people, so you will only receive the point applicable to you.
