One of our latest innovations is the development of our Mini NPK product, designed specifically for our horticulture market. With growers in mind, we have combined the predictable, dependable feeding of POLYON® controlled-release fertilizer with the more desirable size of a mini granular fertilizer.

At Harrell’s, our team of specialized reps that serve our horticulture customers is excited to announce this new product launch, as it fills an enormous need in our industry.

Making POLYON Even More Accessible

The POLYON Mini NPK prill fertilizer launches this fall and comes with all of the features growers and turf managers have come to expect from POLYON fertilizer. This includes homogenous prills coated with a reactive layer polymer coating for predictable release rates and dependable feeding. 

For example, Harrell's POLYON 18-6-12 Mini NPK will provide 3-4 months of nutrient release. This Allows greenhouse growers and liner producers across the country to take advantage of the proven POLYON® controlled-release fertilizer technology in the form of a 190 SGN, which provides adequate fertilizer dosage for plants grown in smaller cell production.

As Harrell's Northern Sales Director for Horticulture, Norman Lafaille, pointed out,

“For over 30 years, Harrell’s has always been a leading supplier in the horticultural industry, and the addition of the new Mini NPK prill offers Harrell’s a full portfolio of products for greenhouse growers and small cell liner producers.” 

Incorporation rates on the POLYON Mini NPK prill range from a low of 3 pounds per cubic yard to a high of 5 pounds per cubic yard. This means that customers will see the same great results they’re used to from POLYON fertilizer while only adding minimal cost to their production regimen. For those using POLYON fertilizer as a topdressing, the rates range from 2.3 pounds per 1,000 square feet to 4.5 pounds per thousand square feet. Needless to say, a small amount of this product goes a long way for the end user.
