Taking care of people is one of Harrell’s core values and founding principles. You could argue that no one does that better than the professional truck drivers making up the Harrell’s fleet. They take care of our customers first and foremost but also take care of our sales reps, operations teams, and every employee-owner. Whether it’s a pandemic or the many natural disasters that plague our nation throughout the year, the men and women of the trucking industry always go out of their way to sacrifice themselves for others. Even in the core industries that Harrell’s supports, there are opportunities where we need to react right away, and our Harrell’s fleet is always ready to deliver. As we open our 30th location and bring on the next group of drivers to Grow a Better World, we know our financial strength and success are dependent heavily on our family of truck drivers who climb in and out of their trucks from pre-dawn until after dark.

This year, our nation has set aside the week of September 10th – 16th to honor and champion professional truck drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. In one of the most heavily regulated industries, Harrell’s hauling professionals logged over 2.5 million miles in 2022. Collectively, the over 3 million men and women in the trucking industry log over 300 billion miles every year. That equates to 13 million trips around the globe or more than 1,700 round trips to the sun. They deliver nearly 11.5 billion tons of freight each year which accounts for almost 70% of all freight moved in the United States. Our lives as Americans would come to a halt without the men and women of trucking, and our lives as Harrell’s employee-owners would not be possible without OUR dedicated professional drivers delivering Harrell’s to America.

Harrell’s is very proud of these 82 men, THE BEST PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS IN THE INDUSTRY. Please join us in celebrating them this week. Track down one of these drivers and thank them for all they do to make us successful. Please take the time to read over each of these names and pray for their safety and for the ones you do know, let them know how grateful and thankful you are for them.
