	The idea for a controlled-release polyurethane coated fertilizer takes shape with Dr. Bill Moore at Melamine Chemicals patenting the formula
	The controlled-release fertilizer (CRF) technology is Licensed to Parker Fertilizer Company (Pursell Industries).
	John Detrick, from Melamine Chemicals followed the technology to PFC. While he fine-tuned the formulation, Fred Carney conceptualized the process and Larry Baker and Jeff Ogle built a small scale pilot coatings plant.
	POLYON® controlled-release fertilizer is first produced under the direction of John Detrick, Fred Carney, Larry Baker Director of Operations & Engineering and Jeff Ogle serving as Plant Manager.
	Agrium Advanced Technologies purchases POLYON® controlled-release fertilizer technology from Pursell Technologies (formerly Pursell Industries). Fred Carney, Larry Baker Manager of Capital Projects,  and Jeff Ogle continue producing POLYON®.
	Koch Agronomic Services purchases POLYON® controlled-release fertilizer technology from Agrium Advanced Technologies. Larry Baker transfers to Agrium Wholesale as Engineering Manager, Fred Carney continues as Sr. Process Specialist, while Jeff Ogle served as Manufacturing Excellence and Innovations Manager for Koch.
