Harrell's Annuals Maintenance Program is a 5-in-1 combination of a:
- Preventative Pest Program,
- Pre-plant Sterilization,
- Pre-plant Fertility,
- Post-plant Fertility and
- Pre-emergent Program
Following and applying this program to your annuals will increase the efficacy of fertility and fertility products both coming in and going out of the growing season. This program utilizes Granular Fertilizers, Plant Protectants, Liquid Foliar Nutritionals, and Wetting Agents to build up a proper foundation of fertility, through a Balanced Approach that keeps your annuals growing strong throughout the season.
PREVENTATIVE PEST PROGRAM
Repeat and rotate every 14-21 days with the following spray combinations
Rate per 100 gallons of water
APPLICATION 1
- Orkestra / 8-10 oz
- Triple Crown® / 7.5 oz
- Harrell’s Activator + SA / 1 pt
- Acelepryn® / 16 oz
- Dithane® T&O + Subdue Maxx®/ 1.5 lb + 1 oz
- Harrell’s Activator + SA / 1 pt
- Chipco 26 GT Flowable / 32 oz
- Orthene® 97 (as necessary) / 12 oz
- Harrell’s Activator + SA / 1 pt
PRE-PLANT STERILIZATION (optional)
- Incorporate (per 1,000 sq. ft.) l0 lbs. granular Basimid®, approximately 2 inches deep in a prepared planting bed.
- Apply a minimum of 1 inch of water immediately following tiling.
- Allow 2 weeks and till again prior to planting.
PRE-PLANT FERTILITY
- Incorporate (per 1,000 sq. ft.) 10 lbs. Harrell’s POLYON® 14-14-14 controlled-release fertilizer.
- Repeat application of 10 lbs. POLYON® 14-14-14 (per 1,000 sq. ft.) as a top dressing every 3 months if the bedding plants are still viable.
POST-PLANT FERTILITY
- Supplement every 14-21 days with a foliar application of Harrell’s Water Soluble 20-20-20 at 20-25 lbs. per 100 gallons of water or use Harrell’s Ornamental 8-2-4 at 64 oz/100 gal. at 20-25 lbs. per 100 gallons of water.
- Include 2 oz EarthMAX® Organic per 1 gallon of water every 14-21 days.
PRE-EMERGENT PROGRAM
- Apply Snapshot® 2.5 TG at 100-200 lbs. per acre every 60 days at 150 lbs. per acre.
- Apply FreeHand® 1.75G at 150-200 lb per acre to woody landscape beds every 8 weeks
