Dr. Bobby Kerr is the Director of Turfgrass Programs at the Chicago District Golf Association. Dr. Kerr performs extension, education and research on a daily basis in an effort to support the golf course superintendents at member clubs. Dr. Kerr completed his Ph.D. in 2019 at Clemson University, under the direction of Dr. Bert McCarty.

More about Ron Townsend

Ron Townsend began working as the Turfgrass Research Manager at the CDGA in March of 2014. Prior to working with the CDGA, Ron worked as an assistant superintendent at Exmoor Country Club. Ron received his B.S. in Turfgrass Science from Ohio State University and his M.S. in Plant Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As the Turfgrass Research Manager, Ron is responsible for managing the research trails conducted by the CDGA Turfgrass Program and also aides in the diagnostic service the Program provides to golf course superintendents at CDGA member clubs.
