Atexzo® insecticide/miticide
Syngenta has introduced Atexzo® insecticide/miticide, a new class of chemistry for turf (IRAC Group 30), powered by PLINAZOLIN® technology. Atexzo provides a new mode of action with no known resistance, making it a game-changer for managing difficult pests like annual bluegrass weevils (ABW), mole crickets, and Bermudagrass mites.
Several key features that set Atexzo apart:
Comprehensive Action: Works through both contact and ingestion to target all damaging life stages of pests.
Flexible Application: Offers long-lasting residual power and can be tank-mixed with Acelepryn® brand insecticides for a complete solution.
Safety Profile: The product label carries no signal word.
With 250+ turf trials backing its performance, Atexzo is redefining control of the turf industry’s most challenging insects.
Annual Bluegrass Weevil (ABW): As part of the new WeevilTrakSM Plus Program, Atexzo helps achieve 95% 1st-generation control by simultaneously targeting adults and larvae. Atexzo should be applied at 8.2 fl oz/A and lightly watered-in following application (~0.1” irrigation) for ABW.
WeevilTrak Plus and Atexzo further simplifies your ABW program by:
o requiring fewer applications while enhancing efficacy
o providing greater flexibility (controls both ABW adults and larvae)
o strengthening resistance management (a new class of chemistry)
o delivering broader-spectrum control than an IGR-based program

Mole Crickets: A single application of Atexzo (5 fl. oz./A) targeting small to medium sized nymphs significantly reduces tunneling for over 122 days. When targeting larger nymphs or adults, use 8.2 fl oz/A. It can be watered in up to 24 hours after application and requires no special equipment or restricted-entry interval.
Bermudagrass Mites: Effectively manages "witch’s broom" damage during peak activity periods. Apply Atexzo at 4 fl. oz./A on a 14-day interval. Depending on pressure, two to six applications may be needed.
Billbugs: Atexzo controls multiple species of billbugs by targeting adults and larvae. An application of Atexzo at 8.2 fl oz/A when insects are first observed will stop feeding immediately. For areas with a history of bluegrass billbugs, split applications can be highly effective. Apply 6.8 fl oz/A of Atexzo at egg hatch (typically at end of May), followed by a second application 30 days later.
European Crane Fly: A preventative fall application of Atexzo at 6.8- 8.2 fl oz/A will achieve season-long control of crane fly. Atexzo is unique in that it also provides spring curative activity of crane fly.
Turf Caterpillars: Atexzo applied at 8.2 fl oz/A provides control of turfgrass caterpillars such as fall armyworm for up to 80 days.
