2020 National Truck Driver Appreciation Week

Throughout 2020, we have heard a lot about essential workers. Those segments of the work force have been integral in keeping our nation alive, healthy, stocked, and fed. Among those essential workers is a group that often goes unnoticed, unheralded, and unsung. They are the men and women of the trucking industry. Amidst businesses shutting down, states shutting down, and even, for a time, our nation shutting down and shuttering up, our Harrell’s family of hauling professionals kept rolling, kept moving, and kept delivering Harrell’s to America. There’s no doubt, we could not have continued to be successful and to service our customers without the 68 men who never stopped, even when it seemed like the world did. We know it to be true, we talk about it every year, but never has it been more evident than now how much the professional truck drivers we call family mean to each and every one of us.
Our nation has set aside the week of September 13th – 19th to celebrate and thank professional truck drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. These 68 fellow employee owners continue to thrive in an industry that calls on them to follow some of the toughest regulations in order to keep us safe and the economy moving. While much of the nation was safer at home, they were working to keep safe in their trucks. While many of us were practicing social distancing and distance learning, they were distanced from their family to keep Harrell’s rolling. While we were working to stay six feet apart, they were climbing six feet up into their trucks to start another shift. Every year, the 3.5 million men and women in the trucking industry travel almost 300 billion miles to deliver almost 12 billion tons of freight to 80% of the U.S. communities that solely depend on them. Trucking means business!
Even during a pandemic, our customers still had golf courses, plants, turf, crops, and businesses to protect, but they needed our professional products in order to do so. We all needed the 68 professional truck drivers listed below to make that happen. So, while we were all counting on trucks bringing us disinfectant, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and water, the Harrell’s family was counting on these essential workers to keep us moving and keep our customers going. That is why they are THE BEST PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS IN THE INDUSTRY. You may not see them as often these days because they are trying to keep their distance so they can continue delivering to our customers, but you can still let them know how much you appreciate them. Write them a note, give them a call, or send them a text to let them know just how essential they are to us. They love our customers, they love their work, and they love this team. Let’s make certain they know just how much we love them back! Harrell’s recognizes and thanks the gentlemen listed below for their continued commitment to safety, to customer service, and to delivering Harrell’s to America.
